ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products has launched a multi-year plan to phase out its mainframe systems and to modernize the MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) applications, deploying a market solution “PSIMetals”, across several plants in Europe.
We are seeking skilled and motivated Analysts/Developer to join our dynamic D&IT (Digitalization & IT) Manufacturing/Maintenance/Quality department, in the MES CoE (Centre of Excellence) team.
The ideal candidates will be working as analysts/developer in the PSI solution, based on PL/SQL and Java technologies, to implement the system across various plants of AM Flat Europe : after a training period on the basics of PSI, the candidates will work in our near-shore team, under the supervision of our in-house architects and with the support of PSI when needed.
Responsibilities
Under supervision of the architects of MES CoE, realize the detailed analysis of interfaces, configurations and even rule setting in the MES PSI Metals.
Implement the solution designed or work with off-shore competencies to have this implementation realized.
Integrate commercial MES Product line into an existing heterogeneous IT Landscape. The rollout will be executed in waves in several projects across worldwide locations.

Co-create / validate Statement of work, create Contractual agreements along with our procurement and legal team
Understand and clearly define the input required to create cost estimates, working with the delivery centre to finalize cost estimates and optimize this to bring the best value for our client’s money
Travel as per project requirements to European countries such as France, Germany, Luxembourg etc.
Profile
Skills to be able to do detailed analysis of interfaces or configurations/customization in a commercial package. Understand the logical business processes and the impact of the defined information flows between different systems.
Master’s degree in economics, Finance, Business engineer
Experience in PL/SQL development and integration.
Experience in Java and knowledge of coding best practices.
Experience in creating Packages, Procedures, Functions, Tables, Triggers.
Experience in DDL, DML, DCL commands.
Experience in Steel or Metals industry and Knowledge of Industry best practices
Optimization of codes and developing modules.
Experience of working effectively to demanding deadlines, prioritizing own workload with minimal
Good Communication skills
Implementation includes technical language changes mapping, re-coding, translation from an existing (legacy) into a common standard technical language.
Sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives
Customer facing skills like demonstration of solutions, taking part in requirement gathering and other design workshops, drive fit-gap arbitration
Extensive knowledge in cross-functional migration and integration
Extensive knowledge in Industry verticals, especially steel / metal Industry
Prepared to work according to Agile methodologies
ITIL certification is a plus
Existing knowledge of PSI Systems is for sure an advantage, but not at all a requirement
